The bike commuter

Today was my first bike commute to work. I rode from home (Magnolia area) across the Ballard bridge, caught the Burke to the Montlake Bridge, hopped a bus across the lovely Gov. A. Rossellini bridge ($2 fare for 1 mile!), got off at the Kirkland P&R and rode 1/2 mile to my office. SWEET!

My car commute typically takes 40 minutes. My bike commute with a shower at work was 20 minutes longer. Now I'm thinking on rainy days of taking the bus from home to downtown and catching a transfer to work. The hell with this car thing. Besides, I'm just doing what our wise Seattle Mayor is asking of us.
